THE BIBLE:
We believe that the Bible is the inspired, inerrant and infallible word of God. As such it is the supreme and final authority for faith and practice. 2 Tim. 3:16; 1 Thess.2:13; 2Pet.1:21
GOD
We believe in God, the Lord of all that is, who exists without beginning and without end for all eternity. We believe that God is a singular Being, in whom exist three distinct, unique and separate Persons, known as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, each fully God, cooperating as one in the work of God. Deuteronomy 6.4; Matthew 28.19; Lk3:22; 2 Corinthians 13.14
JESUS CHRIST
We believe that God became human in the person of Jesus Christ who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. We believe that God the Son, Jesus the Christ, has eternally coexisted as God, and is fully God and fully man in one person; We believe that Jesus is God’s utmost revelation of himself. John 1.1, 14, 18; Matthew 1.18-25, Lk1:31-35, Heb 7:6; 1 Pet 2:22.
THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe that the Holy Spirit is the Third Person of the Godhead. He has eternally co-existed as God and is the active presence of God in the world today, especially in the lives of believers. It is him who convicts the world, regenerates, indwells, baptizes, seals all Christians now of salvation, and fills those who yield to Him. Matthew 28.19; Acts 5.3,4; John 3.8, 16.7-11; I Corinthians 6.19, 12.11; Ephesians 4.30, 5.18
MANKIND
We believe that God created humans in his image and likeness, for his glory, as the pinnacle of his created activity. We believe that through Adam, all humankind fell into sin, and as a result every human being is born a sinner, separated from God and spiritually dead. Genesis 1.27; Romans 3.23, 5.12; Ephesians 2.1-3.
CREATION
We believe that everything other than God (whether physical, spiritual, or temporal) was created by the Triune God; that God created all things out of nothing and according to its own kind; and that creation was originally very good. We believe that God created everything for his glory, actively sustains all he created, and while sin has hindered its fullest extent, that all creation still reflects God and fulfills God’s plan. Gen 1:1, Gen 2:2 -19; John 1:1 -5, Ps8:3; Job3:8, Heb 1:1 – 3, Acts 17:25
SIN
We believe that sin is the lack of conformity to God; that it was ushered into the world by Satan. We believe that everyone is born with an imputed sin and inherited corruption, which rightfully separates us from God for eternity, Roms5:12 -19
SALVATION
We believe that salvation is by grace in Christ alone. That salvation is by faith in Christ, Romans 8.1; Ephesians 2.8, 9; Acts 16.31. We believe that salvation is the work of God giving us faith in Christ and that there is nothing we can do to earn it. We believe that at the moment of salvation, all guilt and punishment from sin are removed and we are adopted into God’s family Lk 24:47, John 3:3, Rom 10:13 – 15, Eph2:8, Titus 2:11, 3:5-7
THE CHURCH
We believe that the universal church is made up of all God’s people throughout all the world and history, and that the visible manifestation of this has always been local gatherings of believers. We believe the church glorifies God as all its people work together for his mission, and that the activities of the church include preaching the Bible, the symbolic ordinances of baptism and communion, worship, discipleship, and outreach to the surrounding community and to the ends of the earth. END TIMES
We believe that God the Son will return to earth in a person, visible, bodily form, that this event could occur at any point and will result in the judgment of nonbelievers, the final reward of believers, and the ushering in of God’s eternal kingdom. Thessalonians 4.13-18; Matthew 24.21, 29-30, 25.46; Revelation 20.1-6, 11-1
